The best projects are the projects with real application.  

See if your project answers the following questions:

• Do I solve a problem?
• Does this make sense for my customer?
• Can this be reasonably installed and maintained?
• Is this a copy/paste application to help other similar customers?
• Have I cross checked these operating conditions with the manufacturer? 

Be sure your Standard Parameter is:

• Interesting to read
• Logical to follow

• Clear and easy to follow
• Have enough detail to make sense to a layperson

Remember the basics:

• Simple designs are the best
• Describe your idea, its function, and its benefits as clearly as you can.
• Describe the problem or issue.
• Describe the technical innovation that will address the problem.
• Briefly describe major technical challenges and how to address them.
• Be practical. Strive to give your idea genuinely broad usefulness.
