For design purposes, what is the maximum allowable pressure in the heat collector tube?
Also, are flex joints used to connect the heat collector tube in between the collectors?
Thanks!

Hi Ryan,
Q: For design purposes, what is the maximum allowable pressure in the heat collector tube?
A: The minimum and maximum flows are 6gpm and 12 gpm respectively. One should calculate the pressure drop based upon the flow. Depending on the operating temperatures, all the fittings and valves need to be rated for 300# or 150#.
Q: Also, are flex joints used to connect the heat collector tube in between the collectors?
A: Flex joints can be used to connect the branch piping to the main header piping.
I hope that answers your questions. Good Luck to everyone!

So soponova 4 is designed for 300 and 150 rating?
What are the temperature limits at 300 and 150 rating?
